DRESSING FOR A SUMMER WEDDING

Wedding season is upon us and I've already a handful of invitations stacking up on the fridge door. Everyone always wants to look their best at a wedding and now attending weddings is becoming more & more of a regular occurrence for me! SCARY STUFF! Saying that most of my friends are a few years older than me, so I've still got a few more years before I need to start worrying!

A summer wedding calls for a pop of colour, with that in mind I came across this awesome deep blue suit from Zara. It's a total change for me and makes for a refreshing switch from my normal monotone colour scheme. It's a slim fitted suit which for me is an essential. There's nothing worse than an ill-fitting suit, so I always go for the more tailored, skinny fit. Thankfully this suit ticks all the boxes and fits in all the right places.

The blazers pointed lapels and double button fastening gives the suit an air of cool. Wearing a suit you feel great in, is a pretty good feeling, you should also feel confident & relaxed. You've heard of the power suit yes? A good suit should always give you that little extra mojo. I'd personally say that's one of the main things you need to look for when suit shopping. Finding one to suit your style and personality. You want to remember the day for all its happiness of course, but also how bloody dashing you looked when you arrived!

This blazer has an off-seam side pocket and of course it features the chest pocket, where would you be without a deep pocket to store that hip flask and huge Cuban cigar! It has button cuffs and a vent at the back which makes the blazer comfortable and easy to move in. This will come in handy during the end of the evening when eventually you hit the dance floor to show those bridesmaids what they're missing out on!

The suit's trousers again in deep blue are a slim fit (what else) these trousers coupled with the jacket make for an awesome outfit. The trousers are your classic zip and button fastening which come with the standard four pockets. I bought these trousers in a 30R and the fit was great.

As you can see I've teamed the trousers up with my sexy pair of loafers I bought from Topman. Blue and brown are a match made in heaven and give that relaxed summer vibe to the outfit. You could also wear a snazzy sock, if showing off those ankles wasn't up your street.

This suit was reasonably priced coming in at a smudge under £120 which is pretty good! I already had a white shirt to wear underneath but you could always add personal accessories like a neckerchief or a more formal tie to the suit.

Here are a handful of similar suits that have caught my eye online.

£100-£150  -  Asos
£160-£250  -  Topman
£250+         -  The Kooples
